Every fall moose come into our garden to finish up after our "human harvest". This is the view from our kitchen window, taken on  October 20, l998. Usually we have snow on the ground in October.

My husband Dennis is a wildlife survey pilot and gets to work on projects near Mt. McKinley, the highest mountain in North America(20,320 ft.). The Wickersham Wall on the north face of Mt McKinley is shown in these two pictures. It's the highest vertical rise in the shortest distance of any mountain in the world, rising over 17,720 ft. from the valley bottom to the summit in less than 20 miles.
